How can I help you?

  • Are you considering to start selling your products globally?
  • Do you already have a successful global presence and wonder if you can improve how you sell your products?
  • Do you already follow solid GILT processes, and want to step up even further?
  • Are you an LSP, about to hit the next structural growth ceiling intrinsic to your business model?

Whatever your position is now, I can work with you to improve it.

My Approach

Curiously, it helps to create a framework, especially if you wan to think outside the square. So let’s anchor your existing approach in the vast best practice processes of the GILT Framework: Globalization, Internationalization, Localization and Translation – to give us the opportunity to turn your existing strategy into gold.

This method may extend to your existing approach to content creation, style guides (including terminology), TMS integrations, Localization and efficient Translation and review workflows.

My Experience

Design & Leadership: I have been designing and implementing solutions for large scale translation and localization users since 2001. My thought leadership and expertise are the base for large content owners and LSPs to create robust best practice localization and translation processes and localization-ready content life cycles, and then to grow to much more than that.

Facilitation: The sustainable facilitation of the synergies between translation buyers, LSPs, and suppliers across this fragmented industry hinges on cooperation and strategies for all areas of the content life cycle.

CAT tools:  In the past, I have helped developing essential functions of two CAT tools (XTM, Lingo24’s Coach), and I have taught several other CAT tools to students at the University of Auckland.

What I bring

What I bring is my appreciation of the people, skills, and tools that form the rich tapestry of the language industry. It allows me to weave in my threads, collected over more than 18 years of involvement as a localization consultant, corporate workflow designer, university teacher, translator, and essential contributions to the development of two cloud-based CAT tools, all from my professional remote office, located in Earthsong, New Zealand’s first Co-housing Community.

Questions are usually more interesting than answers, but still…

In 16 years collaboration with Lingo24 I have worked directly with many customers on all stake holder levels. I am confident and credible.

The more spectacular examples involved using technology and planning to reduce the translatable volume from several million words to a fraction of that. The translation budget now lasted much further. Still – every situation is different, and there is significant space for improvement even in mature localisation processes. Get in touch and explain just a little bit about your situation, and I am sure I might find a scenario I have worked on in the past.

Usually yes, but depending on the scope of the assignment I am well networked to find suitable support if needed. Get in touch to talk about your goals.

Yes. I have been training students, staff and other roles for more than 18 years and I can customise training sessions that get the key people involved.

It is the people, the people, the people.
